After an exceptional career of corporate lawyer and attorney at law, our dear colleague and mentor Uroš Pavasović has entered his retirement.
Uroš has been a member of the Croatian Bar Association since 1984. Following his initial engagement as attorney at law, he continued his long-term legal career at the Institute for Application for Electronic Computers, the representative office of Fujitsu (1979-1982), the Institute of Immunology (1982), Sljeme Meat Industry (1982-1983), Pobjeda Textile Industry (1983-1984) after which he stared his independent law office (1984-1988). In 1988 Uroš continued his career in the banking sector as the head of legal department of Udružena banka Hrvatske (United Bank of Croatia, 1988-1990) and in Privredna Banka Zagreb d.d. (1990-1995). He returned to being an attorney at law in 1995 as an associate in the law firm Žurić i Partneri in Zagreb until 2017. We are proud that in October 2017 Uroš joined the team of the law firm Kovačević Prpić Simeunović.
Uroš has invaluable experience in advising and representing local and international banks and financial institutions. He was a lead legal advisor in some of the most significant mergers and acquisitions in the domestic banking sector and participated in most of the privatisations of local banks and other types of acquisitions and transactions in the banking sector. Besides his focus on banking and finance law, as an attorney at law Uroš has advised clients from various industries in all aspects of commercial and company law, relations with regulators and represented them in complex dispute resolution proceedings before the court or arbitration.
We will especially miss Uroš because of outstanding mentorship he provided to young lawyers and his readiness to offer advice and support. We wish Uroš to enjoy his retirement, where he can dedicate himself to his multiple hobbies and interests, and to visit us often.
