On 13 June 2019 Kovačević Prpić Simeunović (KPS) hosted a conference “Doing business in France: Understanding the Regulatory, Tax and Employment Environment“ at the premises of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb. Many Croatian companies doing business with France and in France came to the event. Colleagues attorneys from the Law Office Vaughan Avocats from France spoke about the regulatory, employment and tax environment in France, while Alberto Frescura from Business France and entrepreneur Tomislav Hrisoho talked about the French business environment. The event has been supported by the French Embassy, with Bertrand Le Tallec, Economic Advisor in the French Embassy in Zagreb, taking part in the event and greeting the attendees. We are particularly pleased that a heated discussion has developed among the participants, especially on the topic of mobility of workers.
A week before, the Conference “Doing business dans la zone „Adria“: Comprendre l’environnement et saisir les opportunités – focus sur la Croatie et la Serbie” took place on 6 June 2019 in Paris, where KPS together with the Serbian Law Office Baklaja Igrić & Tintor spoke about the Croatian and Serbian regulatory environment for investments. Vladimir Nol from Mazars Croatia talked about the Croatian and regional tax environment. Lastly, Helena Kokot, manager of legal affairs at the International Airport Zagreb, gave us a real experience perspective on investing in Croatia using as example the joint venture to build the new Zagreb airport.
Both conferences were supported by GBL Alliance, an international network of independent law firms, members of which are KPS, Baklaja Igrić & Tintor and Vaughan Avocats.
